Cher Pruys - Rainy River

acrylic - 9'' x 14''

Cher Pruys, ASAA SCA, IGOR, AAPL, CSAA, AMS, LMS, OSA, MAA, CFA, NOAPS, PSOA, AWA., AAOA. "To take my inner visions with my hands and create a work of art for you the viewer .... That is the ultimate in self expression." I am very drawn to shiny surfaces as well as transparent objects, especially when the lighting brings them to life. I look for beauty in everyday objects that most people take for granted or just don’t truly see them as they are. The seemingly boring and mundane subjects can truly be like magnets if portrayed in the right light. Shiny metal is one of those materials that can host endless visions….the light hits it and the reflections are captured on the smooth, sleek surface. Animals , people living things with character…an artists dream!

Marjorie Moskowitz - Kangeroo Paws Near Saldago

oil on canvas - 40'' x 30''

Her paintings examine mark making, the nuances of color and light in nature, involving the close observation of aspects of landscape and the amplification of these images. They magnify a moment in time, and in nature, when plants are at the peak of their reproductive cycle and are fully asserting their seductive beauty/perfection/ splendor/ripeness. The focus has been on select blooms to show the importance of their smallest components.

Gerhard Rasser - Landscape II

watercolor, colored pencil - 51 x 34 cm

My primary aim is to motivate people with my work to pause and reflect, just like my leitmotivs melancholy, fugacity, desire and loneliness. Once a friend of mine characterized my work as follows: “Your pictures always tell a story und hold a secret.” ... and that’s my intention
