Lorna Hannett - Mom's Buttons

scratchboard - 8'' x 10''

“I have always had a fascination for the beauty of nature and its many moods and elements. Living in a rural setting, I am surrounded and inspired every day, in all seasons. I also love to study people, adults and children alike, and try to capture each individual’s expressive nature in the portraits I do. I feel privileged to be able to express my love of nature and people through my art work and hope in some small measure that it will bring a certain amount of pleasure to those who view it.” Lorna is one of the Founders of and for 5 years served as President of the International Society of Scratchboard Artists (ISSA) and is a Master Scratchboard Artist. (MSA) Lorna is self-taught, but has taken a number of workshops to further her artistic abilities. Although she enjoys many mediums, she now works primarily with her favorite, scratchboard. After teaching herself to use this medium, Lorna has experimented and pushed boundaries with it. In doing so, she has garnered recognition and won many awards both nationally and internationally and had her work featured in several magazines, including the International Artists Magazine.

Cher Pruys - Tea for Two

acrylic - 7'' x 11''

Cher Pruys, ASAA SCA, IGOR, AAPL, CSAA, AMS, LMS, OSA, MAA, CFA, NOAPS, PSOA, AWA., AAOA. "To take my inner visions with my hands and create a work of art for you the viewer .... That is the ultimate in self expression." I am very drawn to shiny surfaces as well as transparent objects, especially when the lighting brings them to life. I look for beauty in everyday objects that most people take for granted or just don’t truly see them as they are. The seemingly boring and mundane subjects can truly be like magnets if portrayed in the right light. Shiny metal is one of those materials that can host endless visions….the light hits it and the reflections are captured on the smooth, sleek surface. Animals , people living things with character…an artists dream!

Yeonjae Kim - Object J28 - ceramic, flower

ceramic, flower

In life, we experience various situations. The various emotions that come from these experiences have different shapes, balance, and accumulate within us. Through this process, the identity of "I" is completed. The color of the emotion generally comes to mind, but there is no form of emotion. For that reason I started working on visualizing the inner emotions. "Object J28" is a visual representation of the diversity of emotions. Depending on the time point, the shape that changes into two uses, an object and a vase, reflects the diversity of emotions.
